Create your own SOLID sterling silver ring ready to wear!

In this hands-on sand casting workshop, you’ll learn how to make your very own solid sterling silver ring using one of the oldest and most beautiful metalworking techniques.

Sand casting is a raw, organic process where molten silver is poured into a mould made from sand, capturing the textures, patterns, and imperfections that give each piece its own personality. No two rings are ever the same

You’ll walk away with a solid silver ring that you cast yourself – that is solid and made to last a life time. These are the kinds of pieces that become heirlooms.

FYI - you dont have to make a ring you can pretty much make anything you like (within reason) if you can carve it from wax we can make it!!

What’s included:

  • A guided, step-by-step introduction to sand casting

  • 10 grams of sterling silver (or bring your own old jewellery to melt!) - if you would like a chunkier ring you can purchase more silver on the day

  • Tools, materials, and safety equipment provided

  • Your finished, polished silver ring to take home

  • This is a small group of 4 people so you will receive 1:1 support through out he process.

This workshop is perfect for beginners – no experience needed – or anyone who wants to connect with the raw, real side of jewelry making.

    What is Sand Cast Jewellery?

Sand casting is an ancient method of making jewellery.

Sand casting is a technique where jeweller’s sands such as Delft clay, red clay, or natural beach sand are used to create a mould, into which an impression is pressed using a wax model or small object—such as a shell, ring, twig, or button. Molten metal is then heated and poured into the mould, where it cools and solidifies to form a solid sterling silver or gold piece. As each mould is destroyed during the casting process, no two pieces are ever identical, ensuring every creation is entirely unique.
